about us
Metro Golf is an independent company reformed in 2008 as Metrogolf Academy Limited, registered in England no. 4972419.
Principal shareholder Richard Morris has been a PGA professional for 20 years. A fine amateur golfer in his youth, he represented Wales, and in early tournaments beat the likes of Colin Montgomerie, Ernie Els and Jose-Maria Olazabal.
He narrowly failed to win his tour card as a pro, and turned to teaching first at Coombe Hill in Surrey and then at Chiswick Bridge, where his "pupils" included novice players, regular club golfers and a few celebrities - not that he would reveal who!
Richard has planned this business for many years and brought in a number of private investors, not a few of whom are his pupils!
The rest of the board and the senior management team bring a wide-ranging experience of the sports and leisure business including golf, as well as specialist management, finance and marketing skills.
Two PGA qualified teaching pros David Lilley and Greg Kerr joined the team this summer.
